20—22nd November 2015
Great Ocean Road, VIC
MelbDjango Camp 2015 is a new conference and hack event organised by the MelbDjango meetup group.
Set in a rickety monastery on a quiet corner of the Great Ocean Road, the weekend aims to bring Melbourne’s Django community together for talks, activities, and a break from the big smoke.
As its first year, MelbDjango Camp is keeping itself small. Numbers are capped at 29 attendees, with the tickets trimmed of all the extras in order to make the event accessible to most budgets.
The Camp officially begins at 6pm on Friday, with a BBQ at Common Code, before the bus journey to Sugarloaf. Toasted marshmallows on arrival.
The Campers will be led through a weekend of hacking with talks and workshops, as well as have the time to pursue more leisurely camp-like activities, utilising the beautiful surroundings.
A detailed schedule of events, including a line-up of speakers and challenges, will be updated here.
The ticket includes:
2 nights accommodation in a private or shared room.
BBQ dinner on the first night.
Food and drinks throughout Saturday and Sunday.
Beer courtesy of Sample.
Bus transport from Common Code's office in Abbotsford on Friday night, and return transfers on Sunday evening.
You will need to bring:
Your favourite snacks.
Your drink of choice (beer will be supplied for Saturday night)
Warm clothes for November nights. Cool clothes for November days. Beach wear for the so inclined.
